"I just wanted to congratulate you on a job well done. I have done several road races from 5 km to marathon and this was one
of the best-organized events I have been to. I had a blast and just wanted to take the time to thank you for the hard work…Thanks
again and know that your time and effort was much appreciated." Crystal Achtenberg, Don River Run for Recovery participant

Toronto, Ontario-The 13th Annual Don River Run for Recovery is a 10 km run and 5 km run or walk which will be held on Sunday August 26, 2007 at 10 a.m. It caters to a range of participants--those who are interested in serious competition, fitness, family fun, or in simply
contributing to those less fortunate members of our communities. Contributions can come through a variety of ways--through
pledges, race fees, volunteer efforts or even gently used sweats and shoes which are donated to clients to get them started
on their own runs or walks as they continue on their path to recovery and wellness.
This year both the 5 km and 10 km runs have been certified as class 'AAA' races by the Ontario Roadrunner's Association and
will have great prizes for the top three male and female participants in each event and awards to age group winners.
Once again the race will be focused on creating a fun family day for participants, with food, draw prizes and entertainment,
while at the same time promoting public awareness about addiction and mental health issues which affect about one in four
of our fellow Canadians.
At CAMH, we appreciate how physical activity contributes to our psychological as well as our physical well-being. This race
is about our organization inviting you to join us in 'walking and running the talk.' All proceeds from this run will be directed
towards making wellness-related activities more accessible to those at CAMH.
To register and get additional information, go to any of the five Toronto area Running Rooms to pick up (and drop off) a brochure
or go to their online listing of our event at http://www.events.runningroom.com/site/?raceId=3088
