Dr. Joan Nandlal

Joan Nandlal, PhD, is the manager of the Community Research, Planning and Evaluation Team in the Community Support and Research Unit at CAMH and an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Nandlal's work focuses on social determinants of health such as housing, income, social support and employment. She is also interested in program evaluation and community supports and systems.
Graduate Student Acceptance
A limited number of graduate and undergraduate student placements are offered each semester to students from a variety of disciplines (e.g., social work, nursing) and post-secondary institutions (e.g., University of Toronto, York University, Ryerson University).
Students are short listed by their institutions and/or relevant CAMH student placement contacts and may undergo a placement screening interview depending on the process established by their post-secondary institution.
