  • a simple way to recognize if a person with a developmental disability might have a mental health problem
  • information to help you support a person with a dual diagnosis to find or keep housing, or to access support in his or her housing situation

What this guide cannot help you with

This guide can't:

  • solve a serious shortage of affordable housing in the City of Toronto—particularly in the developmental services ensure easy access to services that have had trouble serving people who have a dual diagnosis and that often need support when they do accept a person with a dual diagnosis
  • solve significant waitlist issues for people seeking support in both the developmental services and the mental health sectors
  • solve the shortage of service supports that are needed to help people maintain their housing.
