Tobacco Control for the 21st Century: Challenges in Research and Evaluation
The Ontario Tobacco Research Unit is hosting a conference centred on research, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge exchange to be held November 10-12, 2008. This conference will provide a forum for development of a national research agenda, and provide opportunities for networking and the exchange of ideas among the research community, policy makers and practitioners in tobacco control communities across Canada.

New Special Report: An Experimental Investigation of Tobacco Smoke Pollution in Cars
This study demonstrates that TSP in cars can reach unhealthy levels under the most realistic
ventilation conditions. Smoking just one cigarette in a car can lead to levels of tobacco smoke
pollution that match and exceed by several times the levels found in the smokiest bars and
restaurants.
