Learn from Your Workplace or Home!

CAMH offers facilitator-led online courses, which you can participate in from any computer with Internet access. People with all levels of computer expertise can take these courses – the technology is user–friendly and easy to master, and support is available if you need it.

The courses run for approximately eight weeks, and they require a minimum time commitment of four hours per week. They provide a collaborative learning environment, where you will read through course content and engage in group discussions with other learners, guided by an experienced team of two or more online facilitators who are experts in their fields. Some of our courses are approved for Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation continuing education credit hours (CACCF CEC Hours).

Additional features:

access to the password-protected online environment – course materials, readings, links and other resources – any time of the day
a sequenced course of study with defined learning outcomes, requiring approximately four hours of study per week
a collaborative learning environment with discussion forums for sharing knowledge, experiences and reflections with colleagues from across Ontario (and beyond)
dynamic course facilitators who guide learning activities, answer questions, provide weekly summaries, and share clinical expertise

The Mental Health and Addiction 101 series consists of a variety of quick, easy-to-use, self-directed online tutorials for anyone who wants to learn more about mental health and addiction topics. This series includes tutorials such as: Introduction to Addiction, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Depression, Older Adults, Posttraumatic Stress Disorders, Schizophrenia, Stages of Change, Stigma and more.
