CAMH is a leader in innovative education about mental health and substance abuse. We offer classroom and online courses for clinicians. Our school elementary and secondary school curriculum materials are used throughout Ontario. Professionals-in-training can find out about our fellowships, internships and student placements.
  • Classroom courses, workshops and events - includes methadone maintenance treatment courses and the TEACH Project (Training Enhancement in Applied Cessation Counselling and Health).
  • Online courses and webinars - relevant to professionals in mental health and addiction services as well as allied professionals. Learn from your workplace or home — no travelling!
  • Resources for Teachers and Schools - materials to help teachers and schools educate students about addiction and mental health issues, and how to overcome and prevent the stigma that often goes with them. Includes Educating Students about Drug Use and Mental Health Ready-To-Use Lesson Plans for Your Classroom - Curriculum Guide, Talking About Mental Illness (TAMI), Youth Scoop, and Virtual Party. 
  • Resources for Communities and Organizations - information, tools and other resources for communities and organizations interested in working on addictions and mental health issues. Includes links to the CAMH Community Information Forums, the Community Guide from Talking About Mental Illness (TAMI) and information about public education.
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) - CME provides courses for physicians on mental health and addiction issues.
  • International health programs - CAMH's Office of International Health (OIH) promotes and facilitates international health promotion, clinical training and education initiatives on behalf of CAMH.
  • Student placements - information for students looking to secure a placement at CAMH. All professional disciplines provide training opportunities for students in their respective disciplines. CAMH provides a very rich academic environment for students, and students are welcome to attend the vast array of educational events held each academic year at the Centre.
  • Fellowships, internships and post-graduate studies - includes information about the Strategic Training Program in Tobacco Use in Special Populations (TUSP), Postgraduate Year 1 Psychiatry Resident Training in Addiction Psychiatry and, coming soon, the APA/CPA Clinical Psychology Internship Program.
