Dr. Edward Adlaf

Dr. Edward Adlaf is a Senior Scientist and Co-Head of the Public Health and Regulatory Policy Section in the Social, Prevention and Health Policy Research Department. He is an Associate Professor with the Departments of Public Health Sciences and Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Adlaf also collaborates with colleagues at Harvard University's School of Public Health in the area of alcohol and other drug use among university students.
Dr. Adlaf’s research focuses on epidemiological surveys of alcohol, other drug use and violence. He is currently the Director of the Ontario Student Drug Use Survey, the longest study of drug use among adolescents in Canada and the CAMH Monitor, an annual monitoring survey of Ontario adults. Dr. Adlaf is also active in international research, most notably, as a Co-Investigator of the Drug, Alcohol Violence International (DAVI) Toronto site. Dr. Adlaf has served as a consultant to the Pan American Health Organization, the World Health Organization and the United Nations as well as the governments of a number of countries including Canada, Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands, and Korea.
