Consulting

The Health Systems Research and Consulting Unit provides consulting services to health services, governments, and private organizations. This work has included mental health and addictions system planning and policy development, as well as operational reviews of both mental health and addictions organizations, and mental health and addictions supports, services and systems.

The approach to consulting work is research-based and explicitly attempts to apply the available research evidence of best/better practices to the problem at hand. The Health Systems Research and Consulting Unit convenes multidisciplinary teams of consultants to undertake such projects.

Examples of consulting activities conducted by the Unit include:

  •     Systems Planning and Development
  •     Articulation of Best Practices
  •     Program Evaluation, Planning and Implementation
  •     Data Trends and Analysis.

Information inquiries can be directed to Stacey Penaloza, Department Secretary and requests for projects can be directed to Paula Goering or Brian Rush, Co-Section Heads, Health Systems Research and Consulting Unit.
