About the VALIDITY♀ Project Welcome to VALIDITY♀! Explore how this empowering project got started

Hear me, Understand me, Support me This unique guide provides information to enhance the work service providers do with young women around preventing and treating
depression. The words, images and ideas offered in the resource, give insight into young women's diverse realities and share
information that can guide effective service and support. Perhaps these words will inspire you to undertake your own vibrant
action to help prevent depression in girls and young women.
|
Girls Talk Program The Girls Talk program provides a safe place for young women to connect with each other and to learn about depression and
its contributing factors. Young women will develop self-awareness, coping strategies and critical thinking skills through
discussion, artistic and recreational activities.
|
Let's Talk Poster The newest resource of the VALIDITY♀ project! This poster was developed by young women in consultation with professionals
to remind service providers to explore young women's health from a holistic perspective. Young women have said "I don't want
to be treated, I want to be heard" and this poster is a tool to encourage primary care professionals to talk to young women
about issues from all aspects of their lives.
