CrossCurrents Spring 2010Spring 2010: Stigma and discrimination in health care
Consumers of mental health and addiction services tell us that stigma and discrimination are common among health care providers – the very people who are supposed to provide hope and promote recovery. The spring 2010 issue of CrossCurrents: The Journal of Addiction and Mental Health explores interventions aimed at combating stigma and discrimination in health care settings.

CrossCurrents is a unique journal in Canada that explores issues in both addiction and mental health. It informs and educates front-line health professionals about the latest developments and issues in the addiction and mental health fields through professionally written and first-person stories, research summaries, news and feature articles.

Each issue of this quarterly publication is theme-based and features:

  • up-to-date news about prevention, assessment, treatment and health promotion
  • in-depth stories about current issues in the mental health and addiction fields
  • profiles of innovative programs related to addiction and mental health
  • summaries of new studies and breakthrough research
  • professional conference and event listings
  • reviews of the latest educational and professional materials
