May 11, 2012: Workman Way will be closed on Saturday, May 11 due to window installations along the east side of the new Intergenerational
Wellness Centre. Click here for more details.
April 30, 2012: In this issue of the Redevelopment Newsletter, discover how art has brought together a community, learn more about the progress of the construction of the three new CAMH
buildings as they near completion, find out more about the non-CAMH building now that it has been 'topped off', and mark your
calendars for a Grand Opening celebration on Thursday, June 21.
April 23, 2012: A mosaic art project to be displayed in the new Intergenerational Wellness Centre becomes a community collaboration.
November 16, 2011: The Beamish and Labatt families will be recognized with a wing of the Intergenerational Wellness Centre to be named after each family.
September 27, 2011: On September 23, Premier Dalton McGuinty visited CAMH with news of the approval of the third phase of CAMH’s visionary Queen Street Redevelopment Project.
September 8, 2011: Shoppers Drug Mart has agreed to be an anchor tenant in the new non-CAMH building - the Ossington-Queen Street Rental Apartments.
June 22, 2011: CAMH received approval from the City of Toronto to rename Freedom Street to Lower Ossington Avenue and to apply Stokes Street
to ‘New Street’. The full announcement has more details.
February 25, 2011: On March 3, construction fencing will be moved onto the Unit 4 parking lot, resulting in the loss of parking spaces. More details can be found here.
January 11, 2011: Today, CAMH celebrated the 'Topping Off' of the Gateway Building, signifying that the highest point of the building has been reached. The event is also depicted in this video.
October 7, 2010: CAMH launched its Street Naming Contest to name "New Street" – a new public street that will run south of Queen Street West, between White Squirrel Way and Shaw
Street.
September 2010: Construction began on the first non-CAMH building at Ossington and Queen. For more information, go to New Neighbours in the Urban Village.
May 2010: Construction of the three new CAMH buildings began.
Spring 2010: The demolition of the CAMH Administration Building at 1001 Queen Street West has now been completed.
April 6, 2010: The official groundbreaking took place to inaugurate the construction for this major phase of the Queen Street Redevelopment Project.

of the Redevelopment Project. The partnership also includes the Vanbots construction division of Carillion and the Stantec
design firm.
