Schizophrenia Society of Canada honours Dr. Paul Garfinkel at tribute luncheon celebration
What: The Schizophrenia Society of Canada will present Dr. Paul Garfinkel, Chief Executive Officer, Centre for Addiction
and Mental Health (CAMH) with its distinguished Pacesetter Award, in recognition of his tremendous efforts towards reducing
the stigma and discrimination often associated with mental illness.
By highlighting the extraordinary accomplishments of individuals whose personal and/or professional commitments make them
leaders in mental illness reform, the SSC hopes to raise the profile of this important issue.
The luncheon will be emceed by CTV's Canada AM co-host Seamus O'Regan, and will also feature activities to help generate funding
for the many SSC programs and initiatives that reach out to over 300,000 individuals and families living with schizophrenia
everyday.
