CAMH Celebrates National Nursing Week: May 7–13

Nurses: Champions for Safety and Recovery

At CAMH, nurses are vital to providing client-centred care and a very important part of the recovery process for our clients struggling with complex mental illness and addictions.

To celebrate nursing week and to reflect our pride in our talented and committed nursing staff, CAMH has planned several exciting internal events this week. One is Monday’s special lecture presentation on “Nurses– Patient Safety Champions” by Judith Tompkins, Executive Vice President Programs and Chief of Nursing Practice and Professional Services and other CAMH Nursing Week Leaders; another is Wednesday’s tour by ONA President Linda Haslam-Stroud.

CAMH’s Nursing Recognition Awards on Wednesday, May 9 also promises to be a stellar event filled with moving stories, honouring the best of nursing care at CAMH.
