CSC Recommendation given to two CAMH publications
Two CAMH publications recommended as reference for education professionals
Two CAMH resources, Can I Catch It Like a Cold? and Antisocial and Violent Youth: Volume II were recently awarded the Curriculum Services Canada's Seal of Recommendation and are now recommended as a reference for
teachers and other school professionals who work with children and youth. These new titles join the previously endorsed CAMH
resources Educating Students about Substance Use and Mental Health, Curriculum Resource and Talking About Mental Illness which have both been approved by the Ontario Curriculum Centre (OCC), the Ontario Service of CSC.
The endorsements of CSC and OCC are important in CAMH's ability to continue to provide the educational system with credible
resources and aid in the delivery of effective prevention and health promotion curriculum to a diverse range of children and
youth in Ontario and across Canada.
The CSC is the leading standards agency in the evaluation of learning resources in Canada and the designated evaluation agency
for the Ontario Ministry of Education. They evaluate and recommend learning resources on behalf of teachers, school districts,
Ministries of Education, organizations and the private sector. Their "Seal of Recommendation" on a resource tells an educator
that it is 'safe' for use in the classroom.
