Strawberry Social with clients draws corporate volunteers

Over 80 clients, staff and corporate volunteers from Oxford Properties mingled on the lawn of the Queen Street site for good company and games while fresh strawberries and yogurt at the 2^nd Annual Strawberry Social with Oxford Properties.

The World Cup was in full swing and pick-up soccer matches were a popular activity with everyone. While music played, the ever popular water balloon toss and football accuracy contests were underway for most of the afternoon.  When the closing circle formed, one client summed it up best by saying, “I really enjoy these events. It helps us in breaking barriers.”

“The Oxford Property volunteer team is a wonderful example of a group that has made an investment in the care of our clients. They have committed their time to this event and have generously donated gift certificates to the program to help purchase new supplies of sports equipment. They are eager to engage in the activities alongside our clients and staff. They truly are CAMH Champions in the Community,” said Jim Davey, Coordinator of the CAMH’s Corporate Volunteer Program.
