CAMH appreciates its volunteers - National Volunteer Week
A message from CAMH's Director of Volunteer Services Christine Burych
The legacy of care and commitment by CAMH volunteers is a long and important one. For over 100 years, volunteers with their
helping hearts, abounding compassion, empathy and understanding, have been able to improve our clients' the quality of life.
Let’s take a moment to acknowledge and thank those volunteers who inspire clients whether they are using the power of shared
experience in the Getting Started program, assisting in research that may one day change clients’ lives, or facilitating art
or yoga programs that make our clients’ stay at the hospital a little more enjoyable. These volunteers are the foundation
that creates and sustains healthy communities.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers and the staff who support them throughout CAMH, helping
us grow our community stronger. The volunteer program would not exist without the dedication and time you put into making
their placements so successful.
As well, a big 'thank you' to the Volunteer Coordinators who are an extraordinary group of people, for all of their hard work
throughout the year in ensuring that the volunteer programs support CAMH values and strategic directions. This National Volunteer
Week, be sure to reach out and thank someone you know who volunteers.
Happy National Volunteer Week, we appreciate you!
