From May 4 - 11, CAMH is celebrating Mental Health Week 2009 and we urge you to Get Involved.

Getinvolved.ca is a social network matching like-minded individuals and organizations to make change possible, which has chosen CAMH as its featured organization for the month of May. 

To celebrate Mental Health Week 2009, you can:

• Meet the 2009 Transforming Lives Awards recipients
• Learn how stress brought on by the current economic crisis can affect people’s quality of life, including social relationships, work functioning, and enjoyment of everyday activities. Here are 10 helpful ways to deal with stress related to the economic crisis.
• Take the Shed Light on Stigma Challenge.
• Read, print and distribute Stigma: Understanding the impact of prejudice and discrimination on people with mental health and substance use problems.
• Find out why corporate volunteering at CAMH is so rewarding.
• Complete CAMH's series of free, quick, easy-to-use online tutorials, Mental Health and Addiction 101. These tutorials will introduce you to topics concerning mental health and substance use problems.
