Building a trauma-informed mental health system: Why we should care
Dr. Catherine Classen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, Director of
the Women's Mental Health Research Program at the Women’s College Research Institute, and Academic Leader of the Trauma Therapy Program at Women's College Hospital where she serves as a research scientist and a clinical psychologist. She is also on the Executive
Council of the Division of Trauma Psychology of the American Psychological Association and a past president of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. Her passion and research interest is in improving care for trauma survivors.
