Building Strong Communities by Fostering Resiliency in Youth and FamiliesMississauga, Ontario, Canada March 11, 20101:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Coptic Centre 1245 Eglinton Avenue West
This event will bring together experts from CAMH and the local community to discuss ways in which we can keep our communities
strong. The forum will include a key note address on resiliency by Dr. Tatyana Barankin as well as a panel discussion featuring
experts from CAMH and the local community. Key topics that will be covered are how to build resiliency at a community, family
and individual level, with a particular focus on promoting resiliency in youth from South Asian and African/Caribbean communities.
This free information forum will be of interest to mental health and addiction professionals, as well as those who work in
social services, health care, education and settlement services. Refreshments will be served and there will be question and
answer and networking opportunities.
