The NADD 2010 International Congress & Exhibit Show: Innovations and Interventions (MH/IDD)

April 14, 2010 - April, 16, 2010
Hyatt Regency Toronto on King
370 King St. West, Toronto

The NADD International Congress program features a variety of topics and speakers that promise to be stimulating and rewarding for all. The theme of the program for this year is Innovations and Interventions in Mental Health Care in Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Every day we are flooded with important new health information and are challenged to keep pace with applying the best possible care for people with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs.

For this year’s Conference we have sought to bring together leading clinicians-researchers from the United Kingdom, Canada, Western Europe, and the United States as well as colleagues from other nations, to present their work concerning the most innovative clinical services for people with intellectual disabilities. Speakers will address these new innovations and intervention approaches.

The conference will highlight important areas of physical and mental health, the well-being for people with intellectual disabilities, and will focus on the collaboration and integration of physical and mental health care in promoting collaborative efforts among professionals and family members. As you know, this has always been a theme of NADD Conferences.

Among the highlights of the Congress are internationally-known keynote lectures on Mindfulness and Acceptance-Based Interventions for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and their Caregivers given by Nirbhay N. Singh, PhD, USA and Richard P. Hastings, PhD, UK; and Behavioral Phenotypes presented by Tony Holland, PhD, CIDDRG, UK.

CAMH is pleased to be cosponsor of this event.
