Inpatient Volunteer Placement at CAMH

If you are interested in obtaining practical experience with clients who experience mental health and addictions and have the ability to work with a partner or independently this would be a great opportunity for you to be involved in providing practical and fun programs. The role of the volunteer in an inpatient setting is to facilitate activities based on the clients needs.

All inpatient programs require a minimum of a year commitment. Assignments range from 1.5 hours to 3 hours per week.

Positions in the Inpatient Program include:

Creative Arts
Pet Therapy (must have a dog)
Music Programs
1-1 Inpatient Social Support
Drama
Karaoke
Yoga
Activity Groups
Social Groups
Knitting
Creative Writing
Horticultural Group
Spiritual and Religious Care
