Employment Assistance for CAMH Clients
Do you want to work?
Employment Support and Development (ESD), is an innovative employment assistance option offered at CAMH. It is part of the
Community Support and Research Unit (CSRU), at CAMH and works with people who have mental health and addiction histories who
want to find and keep a job. ESD at CAMH is also an Ontario Disability Support (ODSP), Employment Supports Service Provider.
During our last year over 100 individuals started jobs with assistance from the ESD team.
What We Do
ESD at CAMH assists people who have mental health and addiction histories link up to casual, part-time, and full time work
in a wide variety of jobs. ESD also provides ongoing support to increase job retention and ensure success.
How CAMH ESD Can Help You
CAMH ESD offers:
- A dedicated team of vocational counselors to assist you with your employment needs
- Individual assistance with job search and interview skills
- Access to job leads in your area of interest and expertise
- Innovative partnerships to help get you back in the workforce and obtain job training
- Workshops on topics of interest such as assertiveness in the workplace, interview and job search skills
- Basic computer training to help you upgrade your skills
- Ongoing support to help you keep your job
- Onsite English as a Second Language, Literacy and Basic Skills upgrading, and skills development for college entrance
