The Problem Gambling Project is devoted to providing evidence-based training and support materials to Ontario's problem gambling treatment system, allied professionals and communities on issues related to problem gambling. We have experienced trainers who also work as therapists at CAMH's specialized problem gambling treatment program. Consequently, the training and resources that the Project produces are informed by direct experience with people who are affected by gambling problems.
The Project also benefits from gambling research being conducted at CAMH and we employ a full-time Research Analyst. Our resources and training are based on the most up to date research knowledge.
ProblemGambling.ca will allow the Problem Gambling Project to provide the general public and professional community with information about problem gambling. It will also support education, training, treatment and research by building on Ontario’s growing resources in the field of problem gambling.
The Problem Gambling project is part of a network of provincial programs including the Ontario Problem Gambling Helpline, the Ontario Problem Gambling Research Centre, and Ontario Responsible Gambling Council and the YMCA Youth Gambling program.
