Dual Diagnosis Program
The Dual Diagnosis Program helps people who have a dual diagnosis, their families and their care providers. In Ontario, "dual
diagnosis" refers to people who have both an intellectual disability and mental health needs.
We help people who have:
-
a history of unclear assessment and diagnosis
-
a history of medical problems, such as limited effects of medication, side-effects of medication or being on many medications
at once
-
other health issues, such as communications disorders or seizure disorders, that complicate treatment.
We serve people who live in the old cities of Toronto, (North York, west of Yonge St.), York, Etobicoke, Peel Region and homes
for special care in York Region.
