R.E.A.C.H. (Recovery and Education for Adolescents Choosing Health)

The Youth Addiction Services at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health offers a day treatment program which enables clients to combine treatment, life skills and academic programming.  Referrals are accepted throughout the year on an ongoing basis.

This program is for youth between the ages 16-24 who are experiencing substance use problems with or without related mental health concerns and are willing to engage in treatment.

This comprehensive program includes Academic and Treatment Components:

Academic Component, Toronto District School Board, Section 23 classroom:

  • For students between the ages 16-21 years old
  • Students can achieve up to 2 high school credits in a supportive environment

Treatment Component:

  • Consists of groups, individual and family counselling
  • Life/Social Skills building
  • Utilizes Harm Reduction approach

Length of stay in the program is negotiable, based on the youth’s individual academic and treatment goals.
