Tenant Rights: Offences
If you feel that you have been treated poorly, or unfairly by your landlord or other people in your building, you can file
a complaint with the Investigation and Enforcement Unit of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and/or the Ontario
Rental Housing Tribunal.
Possible reasons for filing a complaint can include:

harassment - someone is preventing you from being able to enjoy living in your home,

eviction - your landlord is evicting your without following the proper rules,

withholding of vital services - your landlord is not supplying a reasonable amount of hydro, water, natural gas, or heating
oil,

improper entry - your landlord enters your unit without following the proper rules,

increased rent - your landlord increases your rent without following the proper rules, or
-
uncompleted maintenance or repairs - your landlord does not follow proper rules for maintaining your building or completing
repairs in your unit.
