Concurrent Disorders

In partnership with the South West LHIN and the South West Addiction and Mental Health Coalition, Beth is involved in a LHIN wide implementation of the GAIN SS Concurrent Disorders Screening Tool in addiction and mental health agencies. Beth is also involved at a Provincial level on a variety of concurrent disorder projects including screening, assessment and system integration.

System Planning and Evaluation

Beth is very involved in assisting both agencies and systems within the addiction and mental health sector in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs and services.

Beth also works closely with local planning networks to further develop, maintain and integrate addiction and mental health services within the framework of the larger health care system. LHIN involvement has included membership on the South West Addiction and Mental Health Coalition, a group that continues to play an important role in the advocating for the sector within LHIN priorities.

Addiction and Mental Health Primary Care

The South West LHIN has identified the importance of integrating addiction and mental health services in Primary Care. Beth has worked on LHIN Action Teams that have made recommendations for this integration. As well, Beth is involved in Projects that assist Family Health Teams, Community Health Centre's and other Primary Care settings in identifying and managing their patients with addiction and mental health issues.
