Peel Children’s Centre - Peel Youth Concurrent Disorders Committee
This group was established by Peel Children’s Centre to build capacity for community agencies who serve youth populations with concurrent disorders. As a member of this group,
Luciana provides resources and on-going input on how best to address the needs of these agencies. The group offers six trainings
per year on topics ranging from cyber addiction to trauma.
Chronic Disease Prevention Community Initiative Advisory Committee
This group focuses on educating the diverse communities of Mississauga area about chronic disease prevention, and providing
them with access to a range of health promotion programs, such as exercise, nutrition and stress management activities. As
a committee member, Luciana represents CAMH and provides guidance in health promotion with a focus on the inter-relationship
between exercise, healthy eating, chronic disease and mental health.
Advisory Committee for Associate Youth Services of Peel Youth-At-Risk Programs
This group provides active and ongoing support as well as quality assurance to the Associate Youth Services of Peel in delivering
their Youth-At-Risk programs which includes the RAIN program, Youth Beyond Barriers program and Transitional Aged Youth Outreach
program. In addition, the group strives to collaborate in connecting youth to additional community services, programs and
organizations. Luciana’s role is to provide links to CAMH expertise and programs as well as contribute to overcoming barriers
and challenges that the programs may face.
