Gary Hoskins - Knowledge Exchange

The Concurrent Disorders Resource Network – Peel Region (CDRN – Peel)

This group was created to support knowledge transfer and skill development in the local mental health, addictions and allied service sectors. The goal is to improve the capacity of agencies to work with people who are in crisis and who have (or may have) concurrent disorders. Gary has been an active member of this group both as a participant and also as a facilitator for their module on concurrent disorders.

 

Mississauga/Halton LHIN – Education and Training Implementation Group

This group will lead the development of a sustainable education and training program for service providers, clients, families and the community at large within the Mississauga/Halton LHIN and works within the framework and decision making principles of SIGMHA ( System, Integration Group Mental Health. and Addictions ). This group is accountable to SIGMHA. Gary is SIGMHA’s designated participant on the group comprised of front line staff and family members. This group plans to offer education and training opportunities on a quarterly basis within the MH-LHIN.

 

Summer Institute 2010

Gary is a member of the planning committee for the CAMH Summer Institute taking place in August 2010 in Toronto. The focus of the Institute is on advanced counseling skills for concurrent disorders. For more information please consult Summer Institute 2010

 

Under One Roof

Gary is one of several facilitators for the Under One Roof initiative which offers province wide workshops on housing and concurrent disorders.
