Stigma Awareness Training for Addictions and Mental Health providers: South East Ontario

In partnership with the South East LHIN and representatives from the addictions and mental health sectors in South Eastern Ontario, Chris will be begin delivering Stigma Awareness training for addictions and mental health providers across Southeastern Ontario in the Fall of 2011.  The findings in the CD Capacity Project Report suggest there is a strong and ongoing need for cross-training on a number of topics related to stigma reduction.  These include training related to attitudes, core values, beliefs and ethics to ensure client access to and consistent provision of recovery-based services.  Chris will lead the team that will develop and deliver the training sessions during 2011 and 2012.
