Primary Care

Program Consultant: Kim Baker, Waterloo Wellington

Kim is working to raise awareness related to addiction and mental health issues in the primary care sector.  She has assisted with the distribution of resources designed to aid family health teams in addressing concurrent disorders, participated in the planning of a local forum for physicians on alcohol as it relates to chronic disease risk, and has implemented training for physicians and pharmacists related to prescription opioid prescribing. Kim also responds to ongoing requests from the primary care sector related to education and resources.
