Research and Knowledge Exchange

Continuous research on mental health and addictions is necessary for the development of appropriate treatments for these conditions.
In addition, the ability to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice is equally important. Alan works on both
sides of this equation, by assisting in the collection of data for various studies, and sharing the results of this research
with various groups in the community. Knowledge exchange also involves the sharing of lessons learned from the clinical practice
level, that in turn inform the development of new fields of inquiry.
More recently, Alan’s interests have expanded into areas such as research, knowledge exchange, and adult education. Particular
