Train non-professionals to establish caring and trusting relationships with children and youth by:

  • training supervised non-professionals to establish caring and trusting relationships with children and youth.
  • involving and training youth to be peer supports and educators where appropriate.

Examples include:

  • mentorship programs within community settings (e.g., schools, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, etc.)
  • youth clubs, recreational facilities, community groups
  • peer relations, peer tutoring
