About CAMH

Population and Life Course Studies

The Population and Life Course Studies Unit of the Social, Prevention and Health Policy Research Department, monitors population trends in addiction and mental health indicators. This information provides a knowledge base for health and policy professionals and helps ensure that needed programs are put in place in a timely and cost-effective manner. The two major monitoring projects are the biennial Ontario Student Drug Use Survey (OSDUS), the longest on-going school survey in Canada, and the CAMH Monitor, an annual telephone survey of Ontario adults.
