Professional Practice Office

The Professional Practice Office (PPO) provides leadership and support to all practising CAMH professionals, other than physicians, to achieve excellence in their practice areas.  PPO endorses the CAMH Practice Model of Care, which promotes professional accountability and a comprehensive approach to care by integrating CAMH standards, values and policies with education, research and best practice guidelines. PPO influences care by developing projects that support the evolution of clinical practice through professional growth initiatives, as well as projects that advocate for client and family empowerment by improving accessibility to and control over CAMH resources. PPO seeks to unite disciplines, clients and families by encouraging collaboration through a client-centred and holistic approach that incorporates diversity and health equity.  PPO also supports professional staff in their involvement with committees and forums, promotes and supports their professional development, and coordinates all student education and training.
