Mood and Anxiety Day Treatment Services

What is the Mood and Anxiety Day Treatment Service?

The Day Treatment Program is a group-based service that utilizes the group milieu as the primary therapeutic intervention.  We provide a multi-disciplinary team approach for people requiring time-limited intensive group therapy and transitional care. We promote recovery, independence, and hope, in a respectful, mutually responsible and collaborative treatment environment.

The Day Treatment Program offers three streams of group therapy based on best practices for the mood and anxiety community. Clients using this service collaborate with program staff to set realistic goals and to determine which group(s) will be best suited to meet their needs:

Recovery Connections

  • 2 days a week up to 12-weeks goal directed open group focusing on activation, skill building, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

Mapping Wellness Program

  • 4-5 mornings a week up to 9-weeks closed group that focuses on skills development, psycho-education, self awareness, interpersonal effectiveness, CBT techniques and recovery strategies

PREP

  • 1 afternoon a week up to 10 weeks open group focusing on socialization to groups, skill building, activation, creativity and psycho-education
  • At times the Day Treatment Program will conduct a Concurrent Disorders Program to support clients who struggle with mood, anxiety and substance dependence.
