Alternate Inpatient Milieu Setting
The Alternate Inpatient Milieu (AIM) setting is part of the Mood and Anxiety Program (MAP) at the Centre for Addiction and
Mental Health. This 24-bed setting provides a more home-like environment to promote recovery for those experiencing a mood
and/or anxiety disorder that would benefit from a time limited admission with an emphasis on skill building, education and
knowledge of community resources.
As people differ, so does their journey towards recovery. Clients are encouraged to be an active participant with our multi-disciplinary
team to achieve wellness through evidence-based treatments, client and family participation, and promotion of independence.
Referral Required: Yes, as well as a suitability assessment
