About CAMH

Information Technology (IT)

The Information Technology (IT) team's intent is to accomplish our operations, projects and relationships in a professional manner to the degree that we are meeting and exceeding "the bar" in best practice for IT. In doing so, IT will endeavour to provide exemplary service to CAMH staff and programs by supporting their data, systems and users. Finally, IT will monitor potential for data risks in CAMH's technology and provide support and solutions to these in a preemptive manner to the best of our abilities.

This is accomplished through the application of IT Service Management in order to maintain and improve IT services quality through a constant cycle of agreeing, monitoring and reporting IT service achievements.

The three key objectives include:

  • Alignment of IT services with the current and future needs of the business and its customers
  • Improvement of the quality of the IT services delivered
  • Reduction of the long term cost of service provision

IT Service Support describes how CAMH programs can get access to the appropriate IMG services to support their activities and operations, and how those services are supported.  IT Service Support is generated by Service Level Agreements (SLAs), which are the working commitments between IMG and CAMH programs. SLAs provide the measurement and definition for IT Service Support, and ensure that the service is reliable, secure and available to meet the needs of CAMH programs and staff.
