About CAMH

Community Support and Research Unit (CSRU)

The Community Support and Research Unit (CSRU) is dedicated to promoting full recovery and community participation for people with serious mental illness and/or substance use problems. CSRU is committed to empowering people with mental health and substance use problems and encouraging their participation in all aspects of our work.

CSRU works in the areas of housingincome, employment and social support. Within each of these areas, CSRU provides/supports:

  • direct service
  • advocacy efforts
  • community development initiatives (including partnerships)
  • program development and evaluation

CSRU is also involved in a wide range of international projects and provides leadership in supporting and coordinating Early Intervention and Family-Centred Care initiatives at CAMH.

CSRU is made up of the following teams:

Referral Required: Referral is required, if the individual is connected to a CAMH program.
