 CAMH Information CentreWelcome to the CAMH Information Centre Access to timely and relevant information and support is important for people and their families who are taking their first steps in seeking help and/or information. The CAMH Information Centre (CAMH-IC) increases CAMH's ability to reach and support Ontarians in need of assistance. It better enables people to play an informed and active role in their own health care, prevent conditions from becoming serious, and seek the best care possible. The CAMH-IC was established following the awarding of a grant from the R. Samuel McLaughlin Foundation. This Foundation had been set up to fund charitable organizations engaged in the advancement of learning, particularly in the medical, health and physical and mental therapy fields in the Province of Ontario. The CAMH-IC is particularly committed to reaching out to those who are not currently connected to support, and to supporting the many people who find it difficult to access the mental health and addiction systems, in particular, those from diverse communities. It serves Ontario through:
CAMH-IC makes an important contribution to the mental health and addiction systems by encouraging early detection, help seeking, and increasing public understanding.
