Youth & Drugs and Mental Health: A Resource for Professionals
This is a package that includes material for working with youth who present concurrent mental health and substance use concerns. There is information on integrated treatment, screening, assessment, pharmacotherapy, motivational interviewing and First Contact: A brief intervention for young substance users with mental health problems. The First Contact component includes clinical materials such as session goals, therapist checklists and client handouts, to be used in four individual or group sessions that can serve as a stand-alone treatment or a first step to more extensive treatment.

Substance Abuse Treatment for Young People - What you need to know
This pamphlet is for parents/guardians, relatives, teachers, friends and anyone who may be concerned about alcohol or other substance use in a person under 25, and includes services available for young people in the Greater Toronto Area. This pamphlet was developed by the Toronto Youth Addiction Cluster, representing a number of agencies serving youth with substance use issue, including CAMH.

The Arson Prevention program for Children is an intervention program to reduce fire setting and other fire involvement and promote fire safety, among children from two to 16 years of age. This guide provides a conceptual framework and useful techniques for mental health providers working with children, teens and their families. Part 1 of the manual explains the program; Part 2 consists of caregiver modules; Part 3 consists of child modules; Part 4 gives information about special issues, such as dealing with adolescents and children living in group homes or residential facilities.

Postpartum Depression - A Guide for Front-Line Health & Social Service Providers

VALIDITY
VALIDITY (Vibrant Action Looking Into Depression in Today's Young Women) is a participatory action research project exploring the factors that may contribute to depression in adolescent girls and identifying strategies that could be used to help prevent it. It is a partnership with young women throughout Ontario; youth service providers and CAMH staff.  Through focus groups with diverse young women from various provincial communities as well as a provincial conference planned by young women for young women, information has been gathered and recommendations have been made related to depression. These findings form the foundation of the booklet for service providers called Hear Me, Understand Me, Support Me . This resource reflects a collection of young women's voices and perspectives along with some insight from other sources in the area of prevention and supporting young women who are experiencing depression.
